As a result of the second pay commission's recommendation Govt. of india decided to establish Kendriya Vidyalayas (Central Schools).These Vidyalayas are run by Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan(Central School organisation)sponsored by the ministry of human resource and development with the sole object of providing education facilities to the children of defence personnels , central Govt.employees and employees of autonomous bodies who are liable to be transferred from one state to another . some Kendriya Vidyalayas have also been established in the institution on higher learning and public undertakings to facilitate the education of children of their employees.Kendriya Vidyalaya AMC was stablished as a primary school in April ,1944 by Colonel D.N. Chkravarty and was recognised as Junior High School in 1951.This was later adopted by Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan as a Kendriya Vidyalaya in 1963. Since then the Vidyalaya is run by Kendriya vidyalaya Sangathan,New Delhi ,Under the Ministry of human Resource .

Important milestones of growth

  • The name of the school was changed from AMC Children School to AMC Girls Junior High School.This institution got recognition as AMC Girls Higher Secondary School that prepared students for the examination of Board of High School and Intermediate Education,U.P.Allahabad, in july 1962.
  • the School was taken over by Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan,Ministry of Education ,Govt of India, New Delhi in 1963 as a Kendriya Vidyalaya for the Education of the Children of Defence Personnels , Central Govt employees and other floating population.
  • It was upgraded upto class XII to prepare candidates for Senior Secondary School Examination under the new Pattern Launched in 1971.
  • Vidyalaya is elevated by the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan as a Model Kendriya Vidyalaya from the academic session 1999-2000 and again honoured it with the grade of smart school from the academic session 2000-2001.

In the year 1944 vidyalaya was started as a primary school

In the year 1962 High school and intermediate examination are started

In the year 2008 one more section is started for class XI Science stream leading one section in commerce and two sections in arts
