PMSHRI Activities: 2023-24
1. Vending Machine and Incinerator
A coin-based sanitary pad vending machine has been installed in this school, it is an innovative solution designed to provide easy and affordable access to sanitary napkins that allows women to silently obtain sanitary pads by inserting coins. This helps to address the menstrual hygiene issues of school-going girl students.
Incinerators have been installed along with the vending machine, it is used for safe and eco-friendly disposal of used sanitary pads. These incinerators operate at high temperatures to effectively burn the pads, turning them into sterile ash and reducing the risk of health hazards and environmental pollution associated with improper disposal.
Together, these technologies promote menstrual hygiene management by ensuring access to sanitary products and providing a sustainable disposal method.
2. Digital Library
A digital library is an online collection of digital content, including books, journals, articles, multimedia files, and other resources that can be accessed electronically. These libraries provide users with remote access to a vast range of information and resources, often via the Internet.
Digital libraries play a vital role in modern education, research, and information dissemination by providing a comprehensive and accessible platform to access a repository of knowledge and resources.
The Digital Library at PMSHRI KV AMC is equipped with 05 i5 and 01 i3 desktop computers connected to the Internet.
3. Smart Classrooms
Interactive flat panel based smart classrooms represent a significant advancement in educational technology, providing a versatile and powerful tool to enhance teaching and learning experiences.

4. Vocational Laboratory: Marked Area 7X10.6 m
Vocational laboratory, also known as vocational training laboratory or Career and Technical Education (CTE) laboratory, is a specialized learning environment designed to provide students with practical experience and hands-on skills in various trades and occupations. These laboratories are crucial in preparing students for specific careers by offering real-world training and practice.
PMSHRI KV AMC will be equipped with a full-fledged vocational laboratory to introduce vocational courses in line with NEP-2020.
5. Expert Discussion on Sustainable Development
Sustainable development is a comprehensive approach to development and progress that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. It integrates three main pillars: economic development, social inclusion and environmental sustainability.
The students of PMSHRI KV AMC were introduced to this approach by Dr. Uma Kant, retired Principal Scientist, CSIR.
6. Career Counselling
The students of PMSHRI KV AMC were given career counselling based on the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI), a popular personality assessment tool that classifies individuals into one of 16 personality types based on their preferences in four major dimensions.
The MBTI is widely used and valued for its practical applications in personal development, career planning and improving interpersonal relationships.
7. Citizenship Skills, Constitutional Values and Knowledge of India
Citizenship skills refer to the abilities and competencies required for individuals to effectively participate in civic life and contribute to the well-being of their communities and the country. These skills are essential for promoting responsible, engaged and informed citizens.
Constitutional values are the fundamental principles and ideals that underpin a country’s constitution, guiding its legal framework and governance. In India, these values are derived from the Constitution of India, which reflects the vision of its framers for a democratic, just and egalitarian society. A comprehensive understanding of India includes its history, culture, geography, political system and current affairs.
This knowledge is crucial for informed citizenship and appreciation of the country’s diversity and heritage. PMSHRI KV AMC organised events such as EBSB, Youth Parliament and celebrations of National Days to promote these skills.
8. 21st Century Education and Information Skills
A Robotics and AI
workshop was organised under the PMSHRI scheme with the objective of introducing young learners to the basics of Robotics and Artificial Intelligence (AI) and inspiring their interest in this rapidly evolving field. The workshop included a variety of activities and presentations tailored to the age groups and understanding levels of school students. It was structured to progressively introduce the basic concepts of AI and its applications through hands-on activities and demonstrations.
9. Science and Math Kit A science and math kit is a valuable educational toold demonstrations.
