Skill Education

Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) offers skill education through pre-vocational education and skill hubs:
Pre-vocational education
KVS offers pre-vocational education to prepare students for vocational or career-oriented training. This education emphasizes skill-based learning, which uses hands-on practice and real-world application to develop students’ skills. For example, KVS Lucknow Region offers a range of skill modules, including basic computer skills, entrepreneurship, and communication skills.
Skill hubs
KVS has identified 300 KVs across the country to be developed as Vocational Education Hubs. These hubs offer skill training for out-of-school and out-of-education youth after school hours. In the 2022-23 session, 5,809 candidates completed courses in IT-ITES, electronics, agriculture, apparel, and other sectors.
Artificial intelligence
KVS has introduced artificial intelligence as a vocational subject in all KVs from Class VIII.
